Documentation Center at the Service of the Oil Palm Sector

Unique Latin American Center specialized in the scientific, technical, economic and commercial aspects of oil palm, oilseeds, oils, and fats. Its mission is to orient and facilitate access to the existing information, through collection, analysis, processing, dissemination and exchange activities, so as to provide support to oil palm growers, researchers, and the public in general that may be interested in the sector. The following services are offered:

• In-house consultation: immediate and comprehensive advise on how to find information.
• Specialized bibliographies: by topics, key words, document titles, and authors, among others.
• Alert Service: selective dissemination of the information included in national and international periodical publications.
• External sources: through information exchange with other national and international centers and libraries.
• Telephone consultation: in order to orient the public in general on specific issues and questions.
• Inter-library lending: provides a cooperative service among various document centers, which facilitates the use of the existing bibliographic resources.
